First, make sure that your presentation is built for a conference.
Your exhibit should be flexible in that it can fit in any space and be taken anywhere. You never know what last-minute changes will be made to a trade show event, and best practices suggest that you be able to make your presentation on a 12’ x 12′ square floor or in a space the size of an elevator shaft.

Second, pay attention to topics of interest at the conference.

Coordinators will usually send out a list of speakers and topics well before the event is scheduled to take place. If you know what the themes of a gathering will be, you can create content that will go along with these themes.

Third, make sure you understand whom the attendees of the gathering will be.

As a small business, it is finally important that tailor your content to the target audience. There is nothing worse than trying to sell yourself to a broad audience or show that you somehow have a “mass appeal.” People respond to content that is tailored to their needs, and they will take those products and services and make them popular inside of their social circle for you.
