This week Google rolled out a new refresh update to its search engine algorithm being dubbed Panda 4.2.

The update is the latest in a long series of refreshes going back to 2011. The refresh has already hit two-percent or three-percent of websites on the internet.

Many have witnessed no changes in their search traffic and ranking, for this refresh is being rolled out at a slow pace. And not as rapidly as the previous 28 Panda releases.

What you need to know:

  • If your company was punished in the Panda 4.1 refresh last September you now have a new chance to re-build your search clout by abiding by the rules and producing solid content.
  • If you haven’t already, make sure your content is producing high quality content, that is ranked and liked by Google, so as to avoid a drop in traffic in the coming days and weeks.
  • This update is certain to give preference to mobile-friendly websites much more than in the past. Is your website mobile-friendly? Make sure it is.

Remember the best SEO strategy is to tag solid content without attempting to game the search engine.
